September 22, 2014: We are happy to announce that Laura Howard will soon be a member of our team as the director of the Public Management Center.

“I have a firm commitment to good government, and I have observed the value that the Public Management Center brings as a resource to local, state and federal governments through its focus on professionalism and strong leadership practices,” Howard said. “I look forward to building upon the history and impressive reputation of the center and school while continuing to advance the ability of public managers to address strategic challenges facing their communities.”

December 18, 2013: The Public Management Center is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site. We will offer academic and professional development programs at this National Park Service site beginning in January 2014.

As part of this new arrangement, administrative operations of the Public Management Center have been moved to KU’s Lawrence campus.

"We are excited about the potential for this new partnership, which we believe symbolizes our highest hopes for access to education and improvement of public service," said Marilu Goodyear, Director of the School of Public Affairs and Administration, of which the Public Management Center is a part.

November 7, 2013: Noel gave a presentation "Diversity Training: Generational Differences in the Workplace" for Bert Nash Comunity Mental Health Center staff, sponsored by the Center's Diversity Committee.
